How Behavioral Health Support Helped Angel Find Her Self-Assurance
When Angel wanted to fully participate in RGA Monarch Services, significant anxiety often stood in the way. The stress from community outings created behavioral challenges, keeping her from the friends and activities she wanted to enjoy.
A Partnership for Empowerment
Everything began to change when Angel and her family partnered with RGA's Emerge Behavioral Health Clinic. Together, Angel and her care circle focused on empowerment and building new skills.
"We've been focusing on reducing her anxiety and building up her communication skills," says Kaylee Reynolds, RGA mental health professional.
New Tools for Communication
Through a personalized journey, Angel started developing new tools for emotional regulation. This included using sign language and her Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) device.
With each session, she learned to express her needs more effectively. She also developed strategies to navigate situations that previously caused her stress.
Growing Confidence
Now, that growing sense of self-assurance is replacing the challenging behaviors. When the time comes for Angel to participate in a full community outing, the RGA team is there to support her every step of the way, calmly and confidently.
