From Rider to Leader: Kelly's Evolution at the RGA Therapeutic Horsemanship Program
When Kelly first started at the RGA Therapeutic Horsemanship program, her love for horses was immediate. While she initially needed support in the saddle, she worked diligently on her skills, always willing to try a new horse (though "Cindy" was always her "heart horse").
A Profound Turning Point
After years of dedication, Kelly reached a profound turning point: she began riding independently. She started steering her horse through patterns and obstacles all on her own.
Soon, her passion extended to sharing her love for the barn with others. She became one of the very first "Barn Buddies" to welcome new members to the program.
A Community Leader
This summer, Kelly's role in the community continued to grow. She evolved into a dedicated volunteer, arriving early to help with any task, from grooming horses to planting gardens. She never once said "no" to an opportunity to help.
Kelly had transformed from a participant in a single program into a leader.
As her instructor, Christie Fiorini, says, "Kelly is a rider, athlete, volunteer, fundraiser, artist, and friend!" She is a cornerstone of the RGA community, proving that when you find your "thing," you can share it with others.
