RGA Receives $25,000 Grant from New York Life
Organization Receives Community Impact Grant to support Home Improvements
Ray Graham Association has received a $25,000 Community Impact Grant from New York Life. The funding will support home improvements needed for one of the organization’s single-family homes located in Downers Grove. The ladies who live on Briargate Drive have certainly lived in and loved their home. Yet, this constant activity had taken its toll, particularly on the patio, a cherished space for gathering and relaxing.
“Thanks to New York Life and RGA board member Dave Farra, a Financial Professional at New York Life, for this transformational gift creating a more inviting and comfortable outdoor space,” said President & CEO Kim Zoeller. “This is more than just home improvement—it’s life improvement for these amazing ladies. This grant reflects the community support that creates a profound, positive impact on the lives of people with disabilities.”
New York Life, under its guiding motto, “Helping people act on their love,” generously granted the funds for much-needed renovations. With every new improvement, the ladies found themselves spending more and more time outside. The ambience reduced their stress and sparked their creativity. “I love my house and my RGA family,” said LeAnne, who calls Briargate home. “I’m so thankful to people at New York Life who help me and my friends have fun and be outside!”
Life skills like grilling and gardening have nurtured a sense of independence and confidence at Briargate. The back yard has transformed into a therapeutic space where lives are enriched and love flourishes, especially during family visits on beautiful summer evenings.
