David's Medicaid Story

As told by his sister, Lynn

"David is my brother. He is in his late 70s and has lived in a group home provided by Ray Graham for 25 years. Although his family is involved with purchasing clothing, bringing him home for extended visits, and facilitating medical appointments, the scope of his daily care and well-being depends on Medicaid funding."

Why Medicaid Is Important to David:

"Medicaid is key to providing basic and essential medical care and independent community living within a structured, safe group home with access to day programs. What Does Lynn Fear About Medicaid Cuts?

"My deepest fear about Medicaid cuts is who will provide the basics for the most vulnerable? Seniors and people with disabilities? I say NO to Medicaid cuts, find it elsewhere! This is important funding that, if cut, will affect a voiceless community that depends on family and advocacy to speak for them. Representatives who vote to cut Medicaid funding may be out of a job next election. That's how many people are affected by this vote."
