Ray Graham Association Receives $25,000 Grant from DuPage Foundation

June 3, 2022

Ray Graham Association received a $25,000 grant from DuPage Foundation to support Behavioral Health Clinic start-up costs. As part of its Community Needs Grant Program, DuPage Foundation granted $678,380 to 37 not-for-profit organizations providing essential health and human services to residents across DuPage County. “We are incredibly grateful to work with DuPage Foundation to address the growing unmet need for mental health services for individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities,” said President & CEO Kim Zoeller. “These services and resources in our community are terribly limited, and we are very excited to enhance our capacity as an organization to address this significant quality of life need.”

Founded in 1950, Ray Graham Association serves nearly 2,000 people with disabilities and employs about 350 people. Ray Graham enriches lives by empowering those we support and those who care for them to reach, grow, and achieve. Since 1997, the Council of Quality and Leadership (CQL) has accredited Ray Graham Association for our leadership’s vision of dignity, opportunity, and community for all people. 87% of every dollar donated to Ray Graham Association goes directly to people with disabilities.

Additional donations from DuPage Foundation’s donors and donor-advisors increased the spring 2022 Community Needs grant budget by 26 percent.

“Our not-for-profit partners have seen increased demand for their services for more than two years and are still facing situations exacerbated by the pandemic,” said Barb Szczepaniak, DuPage Foundation vice president for programs. “We are grateful to the donors and donor-advisors who make it possible for the Foundation to go the extra mile when it comes to Community Needs. Thanks to their generosity, we can award more grants and increase our reach throughout the community.”

Applications for DuPage Foundation’s Community Needs Grant Program are accepted twice per year. Visit dupagefoundation.org/CNGP for grant guidelines and more information.
