Spring Appeal 2020
Ray Graham Association’s person-centered approach to care and community is especially important during this public health crisis. As you might expect, the people we serve lead the way. They are enduring the Illinois “stay at home” order by remaining optimistic and staying connected in creative ways. For them, the memories of this time will include deeper relationships with their housemates and the comfort of knowing that they were well cared for and loved.
Many families and supporters have asked how they can help, and for that, we say thank you. Your gift makes our work possible, and every gift matters! Right now, we’re asking for you to donate because meeting the increased demand without increased revenue is a significant challenge; however, you cannot put a price tag on the value of a healthy community.
In this time of uncertainty, we have a plan to not only restore but also expand opportunities—and that plan includes you!

Quarantine isn’t the easiest thing for me. I miss getting out of the house, and sometimes I worry about my family. But the good thing is that I love living at Winston with my roommates and our team members. I look forward to volunteering at the animal shelter again. I really miss petting the cats, and I bet they miss me!
I am most grateful to the team that supports me every step of the way without blinking an eye.
Thank you for donating to Ray Graham Association. You make sure we feel safe and comfortable during this whole pandemic.
Meet Anita Kanuu
When I first started working at Ray Graham Association, I had no idea the impact it would have on my life. Serving others is a great honor for me and my team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). Their devotion to people with disabilities truly makes this is a great place to work, and through this pandemic, I have learned just how committed they are. Whatever it takes to keep the people in our homes safe, they do it. Words can’t describe how grateful I am for their service and your support. The people in our homes can count on us, and I know we can count on you.
Join us in providing safe and loving homes for people who need our help—now more than ever.
Meet Kim Zoeller
President & CEO
Each day I am reminded of how remarkable the Ray Graham Association community is. Though our day-to-day lives are dramatically changing, with your support, we can sustain and grow the services that people with disabilities rely on to live happy and healthy lives. The people we serve remind us each day of the many opportunities to reach, grow, and achieve—all while maintaining a safe social distance. We are thankful for your previous contributions and hope that people with developmental disabilities can count on your continued support.
Every dollar you donate ensures that once we come through this, we are ready to welcome thousands of people back into a caring community with open arms and fiscal stability.
Time and again, I have seen what remarkable things we can do when we pull together. Thank you for joining me in supporting people with disabilities, their families, and our community.
